The exhibition “Brow Sweat” presents a perfume produced from the sweat of Israeli artists and lecturers Uri Nir and Guy Ben-Ner. The perfume was created using custom-designed suits that enabled the collection of their sweat. Each artist was instructed to perform a physical activity of their choice while wearing the suit. After the sweat was collected, the perfume was crafted by blending it with additional elements that preserve and amplify its scent.

The design of the perfume bottles, echoing the form of the suits, offers an interpretive reflection on the identities of these artists. Their sweat was chosen due to their dual roles as lecturers at Beit-berel college and as active figures in the Israeli art field. Accordingly, Eitan worked with Guy’s sweat, and Mattan worked with Uri’s.

The signed contract between the perfume creators and the participating artists, outlining their agreement to produce sweat while wearing a personalized sweatsuit during any activity of their choosing, and consenting to its use in the creation of a perfume, was printed on scent strips.

The suit, personalized for each participant, used plastic tubes and sponges to channel sweat during physical activity, turning movement into the raw material of the work.
